The Wine Academy
The Wine Academy is a wine tourism project developed to serve as a link between wine lovers and the Douro, World Heritage, and is located in the Vintage House Hotel, situated on the right bank of the river Douro surrounded by the famous Port vineyards, the world's oldest demarcated wine region. The Hotel offers the ideal setting in which to learn about and appreciate wine.
The Wine Academy also invites all the Douro producers and everybody involved in the wine industry to use its premises in any way they see fit. We also wish the Wine Academy to be an open space of learning and discussion about wine, its production, promotion and consumption.
The Wine Academy aims at the promotion of the Douro, World Heritage, its wines and products and at the developing of the wine tourism in the region by organising a series of both regular and special events within its four branches of activities.
